This is a traditional Southern recipe for baked chicken that makes juicy, flavorful chicken with a crispy outside.
Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts. 1 cup buttermilk. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1/4 cup melted butter.
Instructions: Get the oven ready by heating it up to 400F 200C. Spices like garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl with buttermilk. Using your hands, cover all of the chicken breasts with the buttermilk mixture. For at least 30 minutes, let it sit. Add more salt and pepper to the flour in a different bowl. Coat each chicken breast completely with the flour mixture. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and put the chicken breasts on it. Spread melted butter on top of the chicken breasts. After the oven is hot, bake the chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and golden brown. Enjoy while hot!
