#daughterofthedeep is a new story written by Rick Riordan (the same author of the Percy Jackson series, Kane Chronicles, Magus Chase, Heroes of Olympus, and Trials of Apollo). This story is based on the old novel #20thousandleaguesunderthesea by #juilesverne. It tells about the great-granddaughter of Captian Nemo, Ana Dakkar who loses her school HP (Harding-Pencroft Academy) from being destroyed by their revival school LI (land institute) and her brother. She goes on a traumatic adventure to gain strength and confidence to be the next captain Nemo to her own crew of friends and stop LI from killing them all. That's some of the plot I can tell with no suppliers and my thoughts on this are; I wasn't expecting a lot in this story. Mostly because I always loved Rick's work on mythology so him writing something different that isn't mythology, I thought it wasn't gonna be THAT good but man, how wrong I was. The story is very well written and it has the familiar writing that Rick had in PJ. The characters are so understanding and relatable with their struggles and goals. Also, this is the first Rick Riordan book that FINALLY has an Autistic person in it! I was very happy and pleased to finally read a character who has similar traits from the spectrum. It makes me love the characters and how well Rick wrote her. I also love the Main character's growth from being a very scared person, to becoming a strong and brave hero that I think both women and young girls would look up to. She literally tames a Giant octopus 🐙 for crying out loud! How awesome is that?! I also love the twist on who the villain is. Won't tell but trust me, you'll love it. Anyway, I will give Daughter of the Deep a 5/5 stars. It's that good. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a big Rick Riordan fan or a new fan. #bookreview #review #rickriordan #books #5stars https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg8szRzon2g/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
