LOVE YOU TO DEATH: MOMMY DEAD AND DEAREST
Just a few months ago. I wrote a blog to explain and push you all to see this documentary. I found it tremendously difficult to stop watching the type of abuse this girl went through. I’m aware a good chunk of you have seen the actual movie title “love you to death” based on the true story of Gypsy Blanchard directed by Alex Kalymnios. Starring Emily Skeggs and the great Marcia Gay Harden. The two together did I superb performance in my own personal opinion. For the rest of you who still haven't seen the movie. I strongly suggest watching the documentary “Mommy Dead and Dearest”. You will have a good preview of how heart breaking the story actually is. All comes to surface from the deep dark tunnels of many secrets you wish a person didn’t reveal themselves to be. Check them both out. How did I come across the documentary you may ask. I stumbled across it at my local library. In the independent film documentary section. This past Saturday. The movie was just about to play after the previews were shown. I could hear the short summary being told. That story was so traumatizing for me and gypsy. I was able to recognize it very well. So well that I heard it being told in another tone of voice and knew who they were referring to from another room. You simply wont forget it.
