☝🏽 ⭐️ The LAST of JUJU’S final periods being in the young person age range (12-25)✌🏽⭐️ with @brimbankyouth in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣8️⃣ #brimbankyouthambassadors There were many behind the scenes that we don’t see happening at local council. ☝🏽 ⭐️ JUJU’S village mates was formed here✌🏽⭐️ with @brimbankyouth in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣7️⃣ #civicparticipation After graduating early 2017, there were a few options I wrote down... knock on doors in the city and hand out CV’s(which i did do which is for another time to share) or try out volunteering at my local Council. I remember ☎️ calling Council to join a group and here i am still on the rideeee 🚂 👀I learnt about: -how young people have equal rights to speak up about our thoughts, ideas and experiences just as much as everyone else -how local government processes work (still learningggg) -role of community, how we engage, connect and drive each other to make our town more 🌈_______ ⭐️Fun fact: Did you know that Brimbank Council had our first ever Young Citizen’s Jury in the West?! A big 📣 fist bump and gratitude for the humans behind all this - Molly, @mariahmagri , @maxchardy , our Mayor at that time @margaret.diricogiudice and all my mates in the planning team. ☝🏽 ⭐️ JUJU’S journey started here ✌🏽⭐️ with @secondbiteorg in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣5️⃣ Juju knew i had a long way to feel confident in the wacky wild adult life ~ i was still in uni and knew i had to build myself before graduating university and so I thought of volunteering! I reached out to this food rescue #nonforprofit and helped collect 🍅🍌🥕🌽🥬 from the stalls on Sunday. ⭐️Fun fact: Did you know that the food that the stalls don’t sell goes in the bin?
