Superheroes need supervillains, otherwise they spend valuable adventure time righting societal wrongs, cleaning up the environment and tossing greedy rich people into orbit. One of the supermenaces in Wonder Heroes 4.0 by Steve Ahlquist was the Neboukichan, a kaiju summoned up by a doomsday cult. Isn’t it cute?

The JukePop guy needed sketches to approve before I did the final illustration. In case that’s not obvious, those are the first images up at the top.

SO, uh, Jukepop is officially shutting down on November 15th.

That’s the primary hosting site for Exiles Ever After and the only place that has, uh, all of it. The good news is I have the story archived (and yes I’m gonna double and triple check to make sure I have it all archived and backed up in multiple places.) Bad news is, that’ll leave most of it homeless for a while.

I’ve mostly been crossposting here on Tumblr two chapters a week. Are people liking that format? Should I just export the whole thing to Wattpad at once? (As fast as I can export 106 chapters...sob) Accelerate the Tumblr chapter crossposting so more of it is up at a time? Use Wordpress? 

Seriously, just uh, what’s good for y’all. What I do.

Recap of last chapter: Camlin and Edana’s rivalry comes to a head during the first night’s watch on the fringe of the jungle. Camlin not only makes it clear that he doesn’t see Edana as a worthy opponent, but suggests a very different type of partnership. Edana, less than impressed with his proposal, is nonetheless distracted by the encounter, and neglects to follow up on or report her men’s observations of a mysterious presence outside the encampment. What’s causing the rustling just outside the reach of the nightwatch’s flames?

In case any of my writer friends are curious, I don’t recommend Jukepop as a place to publish your works. Four months of having my story hosted there with bi-weekly updates, and no feedback to be shown for it from any of the people reading it, and a fraction of the traffic I’m getting from A03. 

Furthermore, the site’s staff is unresponsive to requests, and they make it prohibitively difficult (likely on purpose) to unpublish a story from their site.

Thanks for nothing, Jukepop.

So, with disappointingly low traffic on Red Blossoms the Sky -- seriously, I’d like to thank both of my readers -- on Wattpad and Jukepop, I’m considering trying A03 as a home for it. Does anyone have any idea if A03 is good for Original fiction?

Places to post fiction?

So, I’m interested in finding places to post serialized fiction online. I’ve heard of Fictionpress and Wattpad, but someone just suggested Jukepop and Inkitt. 

What do you guys think - if anything? Do you have hints or tips or experience or gossip about any of these sites?
