Julezen 2026: #4 "What will you wish for?"
We foot it all the night, Weaving olden dances, Mingling hands and mingling glances Till the moon has taken flight; To and fro we leap And chase the frothy bubbles, While the world is full of troubles And is anxious in its sleep. Come away, O human child! To the waters and the wild With a faery, hand in hand, from a world more full of weeping than you.
"The Stolen Child" - William Butler Yeats
Julezen 2026: #3 "Staying Warm"
With the two of them there to help her balance, ice skating turned out to be quite simple for Imayo to grasp. Niccolo perhaps enjoyed showing off his skills on the ice a bit more than Kokoro found amusing, but...
He did provide plenty of support for Imayo when she needed a hand.
Also a good distraction for the moments when Kokoro snuck up behind her to sweep Imayo off of her skates and make her laugh.
With all of the laughter, the exercise, the occasional dive to save Imayo's frail body from striking the ice with any real force, all of them managed to stay warm quite well.

Julezen 2026: #4 "Forge Ahead"
Fearless hearts ablaze (When the world comes crumbling down)
No more time to waste (Know I'll be there)
No, it's not too late (Though our fleeting moment has gone)
To forge ahead
Julezen 2026: #2 "River"
"I warned you. Twice."
He didn't elaborate. He didn't wait for her to retort with a snark or a protest, or to reach for the rapier he'd struck out of her hand. Renaux caught her by the neck and arm, dragging her off of the Coerthan road. She made no futile attempts at struggling free, but sneered at him even as he swung her forward.
Only when the icy water struck her boots, began to soak into the hem of her coat did Capricia look at him with anything other than derision.
Renaux met her eyes and then grabbed the back of her head.
He felt the vicious cold biting into his leg immediately, leeching heat from beneath the tightly woven wool. Fingertips digging into her golden hair, he scowled down at her and waited.
It took a bit longer than anyone might have expected for the first splash, for the first signs of struggle.
As Capricia writhed, kicking at the water, trying to force herself up against the implacable pressure of his rigid arm, Renaux gritted his teeth.
"Twice," he snapped. "Twice, Capricia. That I even warned you a second time is a measure of grace I give to no one else."
One of her hands finally came up, grabbing at his. She fumbled for a grip, straining to pull out of his grasp, and beat once at his wrist. Renaux held her for a beat longer, waiting until her hand began to lose strength. And then he smacked her hand away to wrench her up, gasping and choking.
She tried to turn her face away, still coughing, lips tinted blue from the lack of air and the sheer numbing cold. Renaux tightened his hold on the back of her head and grabbed her chin as he leaned down.
"There will not be a third warning."
