Not only is rock crystal a beautiful stone, it's also one of the most powerful healing stones around. It helps to heal past wounds, even those experienced during childhood and aids in increasing self-respect. Spiritually, rock crystal can harness energy and is great for use with affirmations and prayers. It dispels negative energy, helps the recollection of forgotten memories, and solves problems. Clear rock crystal (like the one pictured above) is great for meditation in addition to sending and receiving guidance.

"Don't ever waste your days not doing what you dream to do." -Julia "Lady J" Gerard
Julia “Lady J” Gerard is a West Hollywood-based fashion designer and an inspirational figure who has followed her passion for style, peace, love and harmony to become a living manifestation of her motto: “Don’t ever waste your days not doing what you dream to do.”
Working out of a studio on Melrose Avenue, Lady J designs and manufactures two lines; J Gerard Couture is her high-end range of rock-inspired men’s and women’s fashions and jewelry, while her Peace Gallery line consists of stylish t-shirts and casual wear adorned with peace signs and quotes such as “Traumatized by mediocrity” and “Innocence is bliss; ignorance is the lack of abundance.”
Her iconoclastic philosophy combines an earthy Bob Dylan-esque longing for peace and harmony with an unapologetic desire to help her clients express themselves in the material realm. ”Peace comes from the inside, so wear it on the outside,” reads a graffiti-style sign painted on one of the walls of her studio.
The list of celebrities that have worn her creations reads like a laundry list of rock-and-roll royalty and pop culture icons, including Cher, Paul McCartney, Whoopi Goldberg, Rihanna, Prince, Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum,Kathy Hilton, Patti Smith, Geezer Butler, Robin Thicke and Dave Matthews.
Perhaps her single most famous creation is a flowing, distressed black skirt worn by Cher at the 2008 Grammys and used in the marketing campaign for her long-running show in Las Vegas. The skirt appeared everywhere from six-story billboards to full-page ads in the New York Times, and was also featured in Instyle Magazine.
Lady J’s uncompromising artistic vision and generosity of spirit have given rise to an enterprise that appeals to both the aesthetic and self-expressive desires of her clientele. She is the original “fashion maven, rock-and-roller, flower-child-mystic and true rebel with a cause.” Lady J rocks.
