Party of Five - 2x03 - Dearly Beloved
Is there anyone here who follows me who’s a fan of the original Party of Five TV series? I just finished season 1 for the first time and would love to talk to someone about it.
Favorite Sibling Relationship (45/?): Charlie, Bailey, Julia, Claudia & Owen Salinger - Party of Five
Top 5 women from 90s tv shows
Oooh anon this is difficult. I’m trying to make sure these are indeed 90s and not 2000s women. Hmmm let me think.
1) Felicity. Loved beyond loved this show and her.
2) Dharma: she was a free spirit and I adored the mess out of her.
3) Karen. No explanation. Total boss:
4) Buffy: BAD ASS!!!!
5) Julia Salinger. Don’t know why. I’ve loved Neve Campbell for longer than I can remember, though.
Party of Five
I finished watching ‘Party of Five’ yesterday (thank you, Netflix). Some thoughts (spoilers):
- Sucks that the fandom seems to be non-existent because it’s a great show. I loved the 90′s vibe of it.
- Claudia was my favorite. I can’t believe the actress is Gretchen from Mean Girls.
- I’m glad Bailey and Sarah weren’t endgame because he did so many fucked up things to her (from cheating multiple times to nearly killing her by driving drunk).
- Bailey literally hooked up with every single woman he spoke to. Charlie was supposed to be the annoying womanizer and he was, but in the later seasons Bailey beat him by a mile.
- I loved Daphne’s storyline about struggling to love her baby and I’m glad she wasn’t demonized and became friends with Charlie and Kirsten.
- Julia/Justin and Julia/Griffin were both boring as hell. Julia should have been a lesbian suffering from a severe case of compulsory heterosexuality. I thought that’s where the show was going when she kissed Perry, but nope. What a letdown.
- That scene where the Salingers confront Bailey about his alcoholism and he insults everyone was one of the most painful things I’ve ever seen.
- I totally related to Bailey when he said he didn’t like being in college because he felt stupid being around smart people.
- That scene in season 6 where Will and Bailey go to pick up the wrestler Mr. Mayhem and Bailey wrestles with the dude’s wife had me laughing for like 10 minutes.
- Sucks we didn’t get to see the Victor/Ross romance.
- I feel like Bailey was a crappy friend to Will the majority of the time.
- I hate how Grandpa Jake banished.
- Justice for Jill and Libby, especially Libby. What was the point of bringing her back just to kill her off? Also, justice for Thurber. These writers were so evil that they even killed the family’s dog.
- I had no idea there was a Sarah spin-off.
- The theme song is now forever stuck in my head.
I’ve never been on a motorcycle." "It’s easy, all you gotta do is hold on." "I’d probably throw you completely off balance..." "You might. But I can handle it.
the moment I knew this ship was gonna fuck me up real good
I just finished watching Party of Five. And we can just jot down Julia not ending up with Griffin after everything as something that will piss me off forever. I HATE JUSTIN. Omg he’s garbage and I’m angry.
