That's so awesome!!! Pomeroy is definitely my number one, because she was the one who started the feminist trends in ancient history. Before her, it was pretty much all male or male-centric. I'm so grateful for her and her hard work, because I read "Greek Tragedy" by H. D. F. Kitto (another staple name if you're studying the ancient playwrights) which was published in the 1930s. And I tell ya... he had shit takes when it came to analyzing any of the female characters in greek tragedy. Like when I say shit takes, I mean he was treating Medea as he would a male character! You can't do that to my girl, whose whole deal is feminine. He also barely touched other women like Electra who didn't fit his conceptions of typical girlboss behavior. Anyway...
