Elin Gregory is having me sit down in the Comfy Chair (oh, no, not the Comfy Chair!) over at her blog today. I had a lot of fun answering the questions and I hope you'll check it out!

Superstar Allstar dir. Raging Gustave

Raging Gustave is one of my favorite directors. He produced the split-screen Supercop! video that was the best of the year it came out in. Despite my own financial issues, I commissioned him to produce a video for one of my songs. I just need there to be more great music videos in the world, since they make me kind of happy.
He did an initial cut of which I was, honestly, disappointed. Which felt weirdly awkward, since every other little thing he had ever done including stuff that appeared to be early student projects had previously blown me away. Bad luck for me, I guess. I told him that I was disappointed, which also felt weirdly awkward. He was kewl enough to shoot some pick up and re-cut it a little. This version, I like a lot better.
As someone who tries to make videos for a living, I learned a lot about what it feels like to be on the other side. What do you all think of this cut?
