Stipped in Lewes DE on the way back from Cape Henlopen’s beaches. Passed the ferry dock and LO! masts towering above the modern ferry buildings: the Kalmar Nyckel was in town (Lewes is one of the ports she often sails from). Her latest ship’s cat, Ditty (as in ditty bag, a bit of sailing equipment) made a special appearance. Ditty is tagged so he can be returned to Kalmar easily.
