Okay but did we (I say we to feel connected to y'all) ever discuss Julie's self blame? Or rather the way she views the circumstances of her attack?
Like you cannot convince me Julie didn't blame herself. It was like 2005, if we go with the actual timeline of the show. It's not the world we live in today, like today we know how to treat victims better.
But I can't stop thinking about sexy catwoman Julie, walking home alone in the middle of the night, presumably drunk, and being attacked. We know it was random, like as viewers, but I doubt Julie ever did.
Classic victim blaming.
From happy outgoing young woman we now have anti social, 50 layers of clothing Julie. There has to be a correlation.
I remember the first time I watched the show, Julie's episode, that opening scene. I could not believe this was Julie. The costume yes, but also the attitude. The posture. It's not the 2012 Julie.
I don't know what's the meaning of this post but it's been going around in my head ever since I first watched the show, that drastic change. The self blame.
Take a shot for every time a lesbian says "we'll meet again" after another lesbian dies.
“Batman doesn’t have superpowers. He just has lots of dough and some gadgets.”
Julie Meyer aesthetic - Les Revenants (The Returned)
When you watched the US version of The Returned where Julie was a lesbian, and expected her to be straight in the original French version, but then.. Biiitch 👏
