Astrid rounded the corner to see Lee working diligently as always. There had been a few costumers and nothing that really required their attention for the most part so Astrid thought for now they could relax and maybe talk. A couple months ago Lee had come asking questions about the other supernaturals that inhabited Ashbourne. Astrid was more then willing to share her knowledge with Lee, she was a nice girl and shared her enthusiasm for books which instantly put you in Astrid’s good graces.
“Let’s take a break.” Astrid said while walking up and placing a gentle hand on Lee’s shoulder. It was a brief and light touch as she smiled at Lee, she found being in a position to teach someone about the world around them gave her a sense of nostalgia. A warm feeling that she associated with her father. “Its a slow day anyway, I’ll put some tea on and we can sit up front and chat. I didn’t get all these nice chairs here just for no one to sit in them and make themselves comfy.” She walked to the front taking a moment to pass into the little room they used as a break room for times when they would bring food to work or put away some drinks for later, she imported a self boiling kettle seeing as they had no stove and poured it in some cups with tea bags for them and served them placing Lee’s on the table for her to take at her leisure.
