With the rave in full swing, Bo couldn’t help but observe the festivities with a mixture of pride and opportunism. He was impressed with his staff and how they had come together and pulled it off, and the slight uptick in what he was able to charge for speciality cocktails brought him sincere joy.
Joy that was short lived at the sight of an all too familiar face in a sea of ones he paid no real attention to.
There had been few people in his life Bora had let close enough to actually effect his emotions, and she had succeeded in getting closer than most. While the obvious one to blame for the demise of their marriage was him for how he had doomed it with his dishonesty before they had ever exchanged vows, but he held her to as much blame — more, depending on the day — for her deceptions too.
He was in two minds about what to do, ignore her for his own peace or greet her for his own pride so she knew her presence didn’t effect him anymore. Unable to decide, he settles somewhere in between, raising the tumbler of whiskey he had in his hand to a silent cheers towards her to let he know he knew she was there.
