I didn’t know that. But if Juliette Angelo needed to step away from NCIS and from the industry in order to find peace and sobriety, of course I would have been ready to say goodbye to Emily Fornell. What matters most is her health, her life, her future.
The only thing I heard was that Juliette found out about her character’s death only when the episode aired.
The showrunners didn’t have to kill Emily — it felt unnecessary and, honestly, harsh. Emily could have gotten treatment off-screen, recovered, and left for college in another state. It could have been a victory — one that Emily, Juliette, and all of us deserved to see.
I’m proud of Juliette and of everything she’s fighting for. The world is rooting for you, Juliette. Always.
