Juliette Clovis is a French visual artist living in the southwest of France. After ten years working with other mediums, she began working with porcelain in 2015, training in a Limoges manufactory. Since then, porcelain has become her primary medium. The choice of this noble and classical material allows her to confront her contemporary vision of art with traditional craftsmanship. Deeply inspired by Asian philosophies, particularly Buddhism and Taoism, her current work explores two main themes: the idea of the life cycle as both ceaseless and universal, and the perpetual quest for a balance born of contrasts and opposites.
