"Nah, gimme the gloom and a dash'a doom, I'd rather be prepared for anythin' that gets thrown my way," Julio muttered, rubbing his arms and sighing faintly under his breath. "Shit. I'm sorry to hear that, though--I hope you feel relatively safe-ish. Where you live and all," he added, rubbing his neck with exasperation. "With any luck, we can have like--a collective country--is this even a country--wide meeting about divvying up responsibilities; precincts. And so on. It's hella disorganized."
"Well--okay, I'll try my best to." Lee smiled brightly, then composed himself, pinching his face into a guise of glumness. The look didn't last long, as it was quickly replaced with genuine concern at Julio's next words, "I--I do, most of the time...It's not really those guys that're the problem, anyways. All of them have done one thing or another t'help deal with a real danger on the Isle, after all..."
Shuffling his feet, the artificial redhead shrugged, combing his free hand through his bangs, "But it's--like, I dunno, man. I still worry. Worry a lot. I don't think there's any way you can't, when things c'n change so fast around here."
Quieting then, listening keenly as Julio explained, Lee nodded lightly, sucking the inside of his cheek in thought, "We've got enough embassies for one, I think, even without a central government. That's a helluva task t'take on, though. A census alone seems like it'd send the whole island for a loop, but I guess that's like, kinda t'be expected when you've got people from just about everywhere, made up of all sorts of species, all comin' in for all their own reasons..."
He shifted again, pulling the bag off of his shoulder with a crinkle of plastic, "Still, it's a good cause. With the way things go around here, I'd say it's more'n worth it." Pausing then, the tatzelwurm chewed his lip in thought, "...any way I could help?"
