The late great Julius Carry played Sho'nuff in The Last Dragon. His over the top portrayal of "The Shogun of Harlem” should go down in history as one of the greatest movie villains of all-time, right up there with the likes of Darth Vader, Hannibal Lecter, Heath Ledger’s Joker and the shark (Bruce) in Jaws. He is one of those Villains that fans end up liking just as much or more than the hero. ⠀ ⠀ Sadly, Carry died of pancreatic cancer on August 19, 2008 but his memory will live on forever as the beloved villain in the Last Dragon. ⠀ ⠀ Born, March 12, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois Julius J. Carry III's acting career spanned almost 3 decades. He made his big screen debut in 1979’s “Disco Godfather” and also appearing in “The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh” that same year. He was featured in numerous television shows including “The Jefferson’s”, “Murder She Wrote”, “Murphy Brown”, “Family Matters”, “A Different World” and “Boy Meets World”.
