#June112018 Honestly, I don't know what to say. Words are simply not enough to express how I am felling right now. It's a mix of excitement, happiness, love, hope, pride, anxiety and scared. ( Is this what it really feels like to be a mom? ) Today was the day that my little Gemini warrior of a dumpling was born. I can still remember finding out about him 7 months in - yes, I know all about the how's and why's. I can still remember the night before I went into labor. I ate a hearty burger and fries from Zark's, had an argument with his father, and was twisting and turning all night because I couldn't find the proper sleeping position. Then dawn came and I felt it. No, not the "water has popped" feeling. But the feeling of, "today's the day. I think I'm going to have the baby today. Today's the day." So I woke his father up and said, "Manganganak na ata ako." and just on cue little water started to trickle along my thighs. And I said, "Tara na. May tubig na lumabas." and within 5 - 8 minutes we were already at hospital. I did try my best to deliver him normally. I tried pushing very hard. To the point that I pooped on the table and got too exhausted and started crying. But still I pushed, and pushed and pushed. A nurse was even already on top of me helping me push the baby out. In the end, I cried for a C-section and by 3:25 pm, a 6.11 Lbs little dumpling was born. No, I didnt have a birthing plan. Having a C-section doesn't make a woman less of a woman. It doesn't make you less of a mother. It doesn't make you a wuss. It doesn't make you anything but regal as a mother who had a natural birth. Being blessed with a child has opened my eyes and thoughts to a lot of things. And being able to share this journey with him has nothing but a great adventure.
