quick n dirty rendering of Jinshi inspired by Deng Wei as Su Yi Shui in Love of the Divine Tree because the first time he came on screen I said ‘that is an incredibly pretty man’ out loud to myself.

Reference:

His face is perhaps too scowly (at least as this character) for Jinshi.

Most cdrama leads are attractive in some way but I was just like blown away by him lmfao…. and this was fully reinforced by everyone else in the show constantly commenting on how good his looks were (much to his chagrin)

Personality-wise… perhaps not a match for Jinshi but I was thinking mainly along the lines of Jinshi is also supposed to be an incredibly pretty man.

I yearn for a Cdrama adaptation of Apothecary Diaries thats a big dramatic romcom with the entire plot truncated into 40 episodes. It would be an incredibly unfaithful adaptation but I believe this could free the original novel author from the obligation of having to write a romance she doesn’t seem to care much for.

Anyways watch Love of the Divine Tree. I am not recommending this because it’s anything like the apothecary diaries I am just recommending it because it was good. bye .
