I have made the tough decision to postpone my next single and my album. This was not an easy decision to make. I am excited and ready to share this, the physical album is arriving today and all I want to do is show it off. But I just feel like this movement is too important right now. I know this is 1000% not the normal or “professional” thing to do, but, well, I am unsigned and beholden to no one. And I feel very strongly about this. To those excited about the new single and album, I am so sorry to disappoint you! I am going to do something to make it up to everyone waiting! I feel it is very important at this time, as an ally, to take a step back and let oppressed voices shine. The single will come out next month, and I have decided to release the album on my Dad’s birthday, August 1st, as a sort of present to him 💕 . I will still be posting here and there any POC or lgbta+ history or photos that inspire me, but for this month, none of this content will “mine” or centered on me or my life. I am keeping my #juneforjustice. I encourage my white friends to do the same. This movement is so important. Let’s please keep talking about it. . In my bio, I have linked a super helpful card with links to resources and where to donate for this movement. It is so far the best and most user-friendly mass source I’ve found. Go peep that! 👀 . I love you all! Thank you for sticking with me and for not disappointing me by being racists (those of you that are still here, that is) We are all in this together! Let’s show how powerful we can be when we rise up with each other! . . . . #blackouttuesday #blackoutjune #juneforjustice #nojusticenopeace https://www.instagram.com/p/CBA9uJNBlfn/?igshid=6ayqtcb4fe3t
