tugs her hair from behind

     gemma   is   a   wildfire   not   easily   contained  ,   she   is   often   overflowing  ,   often   too   much   of   what   she   needs   to   be.   overbearing.   but   the   same  applies   to   her   romantic   life  ,   where   one   tug   of   her   hair  easily   spins   wildly  out   of   control  ,   or   where  gemma   responds   a   little   too   strongly.   this  is   no   exception.      she  spins   to   face  the   other   woman  ,   lips   parted  slightly   ,   halfway  between   snarl   and   smile.         with  one   step   ,   she   closes  the   distance   between  them   ,   so   that   hiss  may   be   felt  upon   the   other’s  skin   when   she   speaks   ,   ʺ   you   sure   you   want   to   do   this  here   ?      ʺ       /        @junestaahl

gemma likes to go toe to toe with the beast ,  likes to belly up to her aggressors , look them in the eye ,  and dare them to so much as lay a finger upon her.   so it should come as no surprise that june won’t take it lying down , and responds with equal aggression ,  placing hand against the woman’s shoulder and shoving her back into the wall ,  until it meets spine and gemma responds with a sharp exhale ,  suddenly breathless at the interaction.   head tilts slightly , hoping to entice.  to draw the other in closer.  they like to toe this line ,   between what was the game of aggression and what was the game of passion.   they fell somewhere in between ,  sometimes more in one direction than the other.

ʺ    that’s all you got  ?  ʺ    she chirps , teeth gliding over her bottom lip.   she remains confident despite the fact that she’s now pinned against the tan colored wall ,   knocking picture frames askew.    ʺ   you’re gonna have to work a little bit harder if you’re hoping to get something out a’ me ,  detective.  ʺ

A grin as she leans forward enough to brush her nose against Gemmas own, humming pleasantly as eyes close. Hands rest easily upon her waist, fingers gripping just enough to keep distance closed. "Well, it got you over here, so I'm not doing so bad."

            she’s so close it’s intoxicating ,   all gemma can see or smell is the other woman , just a breath between them.     she plants herself firmly , unwilling to move despite anything the blonde may through her way.    ʺ   i guess you’re right about that.  ʺ    she answers softly ,  smiling ,   ʺ   but you’re gonna have to do the rest of the work.  ʺ

Perk of her brow and she doesn't move from her space upon the counter; smirk upon her lips, and she cocks her head, eyeing the coffee pot on the other end of the counter. "Yeah? Honey, if there's something you want, maybe you should come over here and get it."

it’s always a game of will.  who’s stubborn enough to stay seated and get the other one to come closer.  luckily , gemma’s in a good mood and she pushes herself to her feet ,  moving to stand between the woman’s legs ,  a smile on her lips as nails trace over the blonde’s thigh ,  ʺ   come and get it  ?    that’s all you got.  ʺ

She doesn't say anything more, simply leans down and snags the last remaining piece of the womans toast, munching on it as she gives dark locks a swift tug before slinking off the kitchen bench and hopping upon it.

she doesn’t mind that june takes her toast ,  probably wasn’t going to eat it anyway.   she’s much more considered with how quickly the woman stopped lavishing her attention upon the elder’s neck.   soft smirk forms and she glances after the woman as she goes.  but then she grabs a handful of gemma’s hair and pulls swiftly ,   she can’t stop the soft moan that slips from her lips ,  eyes closing for a fraction of a second ,   ʺ  come back over here.  or no coffee for you.  ʺ

Leans down as the woman sits at her dining table , hands perching atop shoulders as lips press to the side of her neck, lingering only to hum lightly. 'Morning.'

gaze flits over the headline of the cover story , rolling her eyes at something that seemed so meaningless getting so much damn news coverage.   her mornings often went like this , rising before june to start a pot of coffee and grab the paper.  she sat at the kitchen table waiting for june to wake up , glancing over the title of meaningless articles.   she flips to an article about how the city was breaking land on a new middle school in town when june finally emerges from the bedroom , leaning down to kiss the side of gemma’s neck , bared by hair that was clipped to the back of her head ,  ʺ  'mornin.  ʺ    she greets , cocking head to the side fo allow better access , a hand rising to the woman’s blonde hair.   ʺ   how’d you sleep  ?  ʺ

        silently she fumes , not so much as turning around to look at the blonde. brows furrow.   she hates when her anger is brushed off as hot.   no ,  she’s angry for a reason ,   so much so that steam practically billows out her ears.   gemma’s family wasn’t something she played around with.  it was a serious matter and she didn’t joke about.   so instead june’s comment makes her seethe.  when it feels as though the pressure’s built up within her skull ,  she whirls on her heel ,  ʺ   well i must be fucking gorgeous now ,  huh ?   cause i’m livid.  ʺ
