[8:21 pm] As Jungmo landed the ball once again in the hoop, a wave of exhaustion crashed over you. You two had been playing for over 20 minutes now - or, Jungmo had been playing and you had been looking like a loser next to him since you hadnt been able to score once. Even though he could clearly tell you were feeling done with the game, the grin on his lips didn’t fade as he continued to dribble the basketball around you.
Since you weren’t good enough to actually beat him, you though that you had to go for a different approach. Right as he threw the ball into the hoop once again, you turned away from him and took a few steps forward. He looked at you with a confused expression, and was about to ask what you were doing when-
He heard you sniffling. You brought your hands up to your face to cover it as you continued to give out fake sounds to make him believe you were actually crying. And he seemed to fall for it.
“Hey, don’t cry!” he cooed, dropping the ball on the ground and jogging up to you. He turned you around and pulled you in for a tight hug - but you escaped from it, leaving him confused behind you once again as you ran towards the ball. You grabbed it, and for the first time today, you scored. Even though you had such a wonderful plan, you hadn’t expected to actually get the ball into the net, so when you turned around to Jungmo again, your mouth was forming a circle in surprise.
“I did it! I did it!” you cheered, jumping around in a circle to express your happiness.
Jungmo only shook his head. “But you betrayed me,” he said, a faked disappointment in his voice. You stopped your celebration to look up at him, making puppy-eyes and clasping your hands together in front of you as if to beg him for forgiveness while your lips formed a pout. “I forgive you only because you’re so cute.”
You smiled and went up him to embrace him in a hug. “I’m sorry for tricking you,” you hummed, pulling away from him. “But the last goal of the game is always worth a thousand points, right? So I won!”
