—- Race You

There was this couple’s race. But Naeun was no part of a couple nor a duo event. For some odd reason, not really odd by any majority of strange, she had decided to go to the festival alone on the final day. Thinking she would do some last minute keepsake shopping and just a last look around the place before going on with the rest of her Sunday.

But one of the activities she’s been constantly seeing was that couple’s race, which is an ‘adult’ version of the three-legged race. It was the third day, and she really should have done this when she was hanging around her friends over the last two days. But nonetheless, when they just announced that the price is a nintendo switch and new set of recording studio headphones, Naeun simply had to participate.

She messaged a few of her friends who she knew that was attending the final day, but none of them had still gotten back to her ten minutes before the game started. Biting down her lower lip, she anxiously looks around, only to spot another teen around her age idly standing close by. Praying to God that he had no anger girlfriend, at least not with him - or just in general - Naeun casually approaches him.

“Hello,” She starts off sweetly, “Hi, urm... I know this is really random, but would you like to enter the race with me?” Gesturing towards the couple race, “They have a really neat set of prices, and... yeah.” She smiles sheepishly, “If that’s alright with you.”
