Wrath and Envy!
WRATH --- a headcanon about his anger management.
Anger, surprisingly, is not an emotion that comes to him easily, but when it does, it is hidden under a mask of dismissiveness rather than letting out the intense emotions that bubble up inside. He learned how to take things on his chin, and bear it in solitude, after eons of being so divine---the wrath of an angel is a terrible thing to behold, and not something to show to anyone. He never breaks his regal mask---not for anyone or anything.
ENVY — a headcanon about his secret desires or jealousies.
Often, he wonders about how he could live among the humans, be with them once more in a permanent manner. He envied the way that they have no restrictions to a higher calling, that they are free creatures, to move about and indulge as they please. He envied that they had no least to be tugged upon---no recall back, as if they were a pet.
As he rots in his cell and looks up at the bars, he doesn’t envy them any longer.
GIVE ME A DEADLY SIN, I’LL GIVE YOU A HEADCANON.
1, 5 and 17!
1. What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
In the days of his youth, Gabriel’s hunched frame, tall and thin with the growth of a boy not yet quite a man, took up little space. He slept curled in on himself, his knees brought up to his chest with his arms never daring to venture further from the safety provided by a thin pillow and the heavy weight of his head. However, with the power and confidence achieved by the passage of time, Gabriel slowly began to unravel from the shielded comfort of invisibility and make himself known in the world. Now, Gabriel sleeps on his stomach, sprawled out across the mattress. Limbs lay limb in every direction as he drifts through the night, leaving no space for any type of company lest they sleep curled on the edge of the mattress with the constant fear of falling. Although a mountain of blankets keep his body sheltered against the night, Gabriel constantly searches for the refreshing feel of cool sheets untouched by the creeping heat emitting from his form.
5. What are their chief tension areas?
Trust is a fickle thing. There are those willing to accept the word of a stranger without a care for the hidden intentions that may be lurking beneath the pleasant smile or the determined expression of a convincing argument. Yet there are also those who refuse to acknowledge the notion, choosing to ignore the expression or plea for some type of faith in the truth of stuttered syllables. Trying to find a balance between the two has always been a source of tension for Gabriel. He has always been a man of faith; however, Gabriel recognizing the folly of trust and just how far he’s fallen because of this naivety. A relentless battle wages in his mind with every opportunity of trust whether it is in another person, a situation, or himself.
17. Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?
Extrovert. Gabriel relishes under the attention of others - as long as they are not looking too closely. Under the shallow consideration of a passing gaze, Gabriel emits a comedic exterior riddled with the innocence of ignorance. Some consider him a fool, and Gabriel lets them. Power hidden beneath the depths of deception allow him to hold the advantage in any situation.

If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?
Evangeline is not a woman who relishes conflict, and one who, beyond going out of her way to avoid it, actively seeks to soothe those around her when their tempers might flare. She’s a peacemaker by nature, and when challenged would rather stand down than stand up for herself. Though, she’s finding, there are some things that might be worth standing your ground for, some things that are too heinous to do anything but fight against them.
12, 21, and 29!
Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
1. Adelaide can be found gripping the necklace that she tucks into her blouse whenever she’s lost in thought-- which is more often, now that she’s stuck in Paradise. She’s grown horribly absentminded and withdrawn, and often grips that necklace, mutters to it, then tucks it back beneath her shirt when anyone approaches with questions.
2. She is meticulous about her coffee. Quite often she bugs the waitresses at the diner about it, begging to be let behind the counter in order to get her hands on the coffee pot. Don’t get me wrong, the girls at The Big Apple make a mean cup of coffee; Adelaide’s just been drinking enough truck stop coffee for the past five years to know that she deserves the right amount of goddamn sugars.
3. Believe it or not, Adelaide was a top-notch student when she was in college. She’s gotten this far without being caught by the authorities for a reason; she’s sharp, scholarly, and quick on her feet. One of her favorite things to do is study maps; memorizing roads, geographical patterns, county borders, Adelaide has a collection of maps to rival Christopher Columbus himself. And that’s to say nothing of her collection of license plates-- but that’s a different story.
4. Adelaide has an undeniably eclectic music taste, which is fostered by the record player she reassembled. It’s her pride and joy, and a hot commodity amongst the residents of Paradise; she’s launched a full-on search of every attic in town for old records to use on it-- but she’s going to have to work on being a little nicer if she wants anyone to help her find them. Paradise would be much better with music.
5. For good reason, Adelaide is exceedingly paranoid. Whenever a new person arrives in paradise, dragged along by two sets of black wings and dumped in the square, left to be guided along by those already residing there, she shuts herself away, watching from a distance until she knows for certain that she is safe, and that they don’t know who she is or what she’s done. It’s Lydia, ultimately, who gets her out of the house and forces her to be social.
Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?
1. She would wish for her bounty to be cleared; that’s a fairly obvious one. Adelaide is tired of running, and would love to be anonymous again.
2. She would wish for her mother’s safety; Adelaide hasn’t seen her since before the incident, and wants more than anything to know that she’s alive and well somewhere.
3. She would wish to bring Lydia’s parents back. Adelaide feels horribly guilty; surely their deaths were her fault, in some capacity. Should she be able to bring them back, or at least to be able to get her somewhere safe, she could wipe her hands clean of that guilt.
Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?
Silence usually means that something is coming; silence means that she’s more easily noticed, silence means that there’s no ‘quietly slipping out unnoticed’. While solitude itself is nice, it’s dangerous; if she could be alone, silent and anonymous, life would be perfect, but life isn’t perfect-- so silence and solitude is not an option.
