dick’s definitely patient, playful, honest etc while also being serious, deeply concerned, and observant. in canon he’s pretty close to clark, so he’d share those values of optimism, justice, and growth, but he’s far from a go-lucky boy scout haha. honestly he wouldn’t be involved in a lot of drama, he has the people/communication/leadership skills to avoid it. imo it wouldnt be too far-reaching if he were a little too committed to duty so he can sometimes get burnt-out/irate and struggle with work-life balance, esp in his earlier years or if cases run long. absolutely a hot and caring lover but do not sexualize him (very important!!!!) i occasionally refer to this very helpful post for dialogue, as well as tomasi/watter’s runs and BTAS&TNBA to get a general grasp of his character! 💗

hiii omg thank u sm!! a very wise friend once said that "life changes but values don't, living by your truths will guide you to becoming your best self" and i think that really sticks with me when i write. the best advice i can give is to study canon and strip the character down to the bones in order to know how they react to their environment in accordance to their values!! like clark kent is empathetic, pure of heart, wants a better tomorrow etc, so it makes sense that he's a naturally sweet, respectful, and considerate man. it also helps to establish a point of relatability-- using clark again, i see a lot of myself in his dorkiness and humor, as well as his identity issues. or with jason, he feels so deeply for everyone but doesn't believe he deserves his own peace, which i can kind of relate to as an asian with high-functioning depression 🥺🥺💗

I don't know if you tryna seem like you're a good person or wtv but I checked and double checked before coming here to say this, your fics were literally tagged just in reader but today magically they are tagged fem reader, I maybe dumb but I'm not that dumb, so If you want to make look like I'm lying or just blind I would tell you to just be inclusive and tag your fem readers cause it's 2026 for goodness sake and y'all are still not correctly tagging just to get more attention...

Long rant but it was needed

are we being so deadass rn. i am going to be as respectful as possible but i do properly indicate that the gender of my reader in at least one point in every post. i've been writing fic since 2019, i know how tagging works. and it's 2026, having a passive aggressive tone in my space with "tryna seem like you're a good person" and "make look like I'm lying" and "get more attention" is honestly really frustrating on my part and embarrassing entitled of you to make assumptions about my character, especially if you're trying to nitpick and paint me as problematic for something this negligible, considering the fact that i also double checked every fic and the only a few were missing a fem reader hashtag, but nevertheless indicated the reader's gender in the summary of the fic. if you're sending this to multiple fem authors, being impolite isn't exactly going to convince them to listen. yes i acknowledge that i took your advice into account and am currently going back to fix the hashtags specifically to include "x fem reader," yet u also could have easily conceded that my works do have clear, visible fem reader labels (some proof below) and maybe just...cease and desist instead of ranting in my inbox??

im not the greatest advisor lol but my general bullet points are

u can really learn from fellow writers by getting a grasp on how they balance detail/simplicity/inner monologue, and then experiment with it urself!! favs from the top of my head are @supercutszns @ma1dita @tangledinlove @sunsburns (ygs r so stellar and inspirational ⭐️)

comics! weirdly i tried to describe certain panels as i reread loeb/sale’s for all seasons, tbh its a good exercise for scenery and action (very important for a dc writer lol) ++ talking to myself like a crazy person helps with natural dialogue

persevere… terrible at this #zeroselfesteem and i still say “omg my fic flopped the world is over omg im below 10k words i suck” but deep down its not reallll bc at least u did something and!!! u never know if someone is coming along in a week or month or year to leave the greatest piece of feedback u have ever received so keep going💗💗
