Junie B. First picture is very recent, last picture is our first one together ever. On Oct. 5, 2014, I drove to Valpo to meet a dog I saw on the Internet. She was unsure, I was not. @giantpawprints_rescue told me they found her wandering around Michigan City all alone. She was skittish and skinny… clearly had experienced some unkind humans… That was it. She was mine. She’s a weird pup… she won’t go into basements unless they’re fully finished, she allows you to hug her, she loves to give little nose kisses, she purrs, and she yells at the TV a lot! When Josh proposed and I had the ring on my finger, Junie softly nibbled it- like she was giving her approval. I’m sure she loves Josh even more than she loves me now ❤️ She is my best friend. She makes me feel better, she can calm me down, she can make me laugh… and I do not take her for granted. She’s 8.5 years old now. I want to cherish every single minute I get with this amazing girl. Who rescued who? Around this time in 2014, Junie B became my best friend. I saw her in a Facebook post by Giant Paw Prints Rescue and just knew I had to meet her. I met her and adopted her on the spot. June is the absolute best creature I’ve ever known. She sat with me for a long time when I was sick and could barely function. She makes me laugh, she sings, and she loves to snuggle. Though she barks and rumbles, she loves my family and friends and I have been so fortunate to have family and friends that love her back. On our first date, Josh met her and got on the floor of my dining room to cuddle her a bit. I knew he was special because she liked him so much ❤️ Junie absolutely loves her sister Aggie! She plays and runs and is even starting to snuggle. I just cannot express my gratitude enough for her presence in my life.
