Fanfiction for Tulip/Junior in Storks movie, movie spoilers mentioned
I watched the 2016 Storks movie last night and now, I ship eighteen year old Tulip with the stork Junior who might be around Tulip's age in stork years. Anyway, when Junior and Tulip meet, it's rather awkward. Hunter who is Junior's boss wants Junior to fire Tulip so the storks can be free of taking care of her and she can go out in the human world. Tulip had to be taken care of by the storks because a stork named Jasper accidentally imprinted on her and broke the homing beacon that was supposed to deliver her to her human family. Jasper was fired from being a baby delivering stork employee and cast out. The storks had to raise Tulip themselves and attempted to train her as an employee as she got older. Unfortunately, Tulip sucks at being an employee since she messes things up due to being a klutz. Hunter wants to get rid of Tulip because she brings down marginal profit for the storks.
Junior is told he just has to fire Tulip and he will become a boss like Hunter. I got the feeling Junior was really lonely at the beginning of the movie. At the film's beginning, Junior is seen asking other storks to hang out with him after work in the locker room. The other storks say they can't hang out with Junior because they have spouses, kids and other family obligations. Junior is somewhat crushed but brightens up with a fake smile. The social rejection reminded Junior that he has no one outside of work: no friends, no wife, no kids, really no nothing. So, Junior has thrown himself into work because his job is all he has. Hunter has noticed Junior's hardwork and that's why he is offering Junior the chance of becoming a boss.
I don't think Junior could fire Tulip because he did notice how lonely she was prior to the events of the movie despite never speaking to her. Tulip did have a few bird friends but she was mostly by herself. Outside of the two or three birds friends she had, her job status as a lowly employee, she really had nothing. Tulip craved social interaction and she tells Junior at the start of the movie she is so happy that he is talking to her for the first time. She knew who Junior was, she always wanted him to talk to her and he never said anything to her until he was given the task of firing her. Instead of firing her, Junior ends up wishing Tulip a happy birthday and giving her a job in the mail room so she will be out of the other stork employee's ways. Junior somehow sensed Tulip was like him in being lonely and that tugged at his conciseness.
Later in the movie, Junior and Tulip end up taking care of a human baby named Diamond Destiny. These lines just made me laugh while Tulip and Junior were trying to get Diamond Destiny to go to sleep :
Tulip says, "We are like a family."
Junior grumbles and says, "No, we are not a family. We are just a guy and a girl trying to get our baby to go to sleep."
Gee, a guy and a girl putting their baby to bed is literally one definition of what a family is.
Then, Junior and Tulip end up shouting at each other while carrying Diamond Destiny saying these lines: "I wish I never met you! Well, I wish I never met you!" Then, Tulip yells frustrated, "This baby was the only good thing that came out of us meeting!" Good lord, taken out of context, they sound like two exes fighting and that the baby is their love child tying them together.
I can't forget the scene where Tulip and Junior are bickering while the baby is awake and crying:
Tulip: You go to bed and I'll take care of it.
Tulip is referring to the crying baby.
Junior: Alright! I'll go to bed.
Tulip: I can't believe you went to bed!
Junior: You just said it was ok for me to go to bed!
The above dialogue makes me think of them as first time parents/newly married couple taking care of their baby.

The link above is a complete one shot that is canon divergent from the movie by the same author above. The story is what Tulip would have done if the homing beacon attempting to deliver her to her human family hadn't worked despite Jasper putting the device back together. She, Junior and Jasper focus on taking care of Diamond Destiny and moving forward with their lives. The fic has a sweet, romantic ending for Junior and Tulip along with a lesson that sometimes finding your family doesn't always involve going to a designated address with people waiting for you.
Unfortunately, starsailorwrites has abandoned some of the fics they were writing for Tulip/Junior Storks fandom and commented they are no longer writing fanfiction for Storks. The above fics are good but there isn't much else Starsailorwrites has that is complete from what I have seen. Last fic link link below is by author I.M Rally:
This fic is a complete, 15 chapter story. The author has a female OC named Aggie who works at the stork delivering company help Junior and Tulip overcome their fears of what society will say about their relationship and romantically get together. There are lots of characters crossovers from different cartoons and movies that show up in this fic like from My Little Pony and Tom and Jerry. Hunter shows up in this fic having survived the fall at the end of the movie. Junior is written to be Hunter's son and is given the backstory that he had wanted to originally take over the company to make his dad proud. Junior's mom is written to have died when he was little and her death is what made Hunter become a work alcoholic to where he became the boss of the company. Junior thought he could get his dad to love him again like when he was little by working hard and becoming boss like his dad wanted. Sadly, Junior realizes Hunter is now too bitter and angry and is never going back to being the loving dad of his early years. The fic ends with Junior and Tulip getting married. Junior learns he has to be happy doing what he wants to do in life and not based on his father's ambitions. This fic has alot of song verses with characters singing which annoys me a little but that doesn't detract from what a good story this fic is.
There isn't many other fics I found for this ship but enjoy the links above. The movie ends with Junior and Tulip delivering Diamond Destiny to her human family. Tulip meets her human family for the first time and they all hug her. Junior stands awkwardly off to the side while Tulip is getting hugged. Sensing Junior watching, Tulip grins and tells Junior to come join in the hug. Tulip's family pulls Junior into the the hug when he attempts to politely decline. Startled by the affection, Junior slowly relaxes into the hug with Tulip's family and closes his eyes. In the beginning of the movie, Junior and Tulip were very lonely without a family. The ending of the movie comes full circle with Junior and Tulip gaining a family unit and finding they are family with each other. Before the movie credits roll, you can see Junior and Tulip posting baby photos with happy families on a giant wall of all the babies the stork company delivered. Junior is now the company boss since Howard is gone and Tulip is his assistant helping the stork company deliver babies again.
