Juni and Cash, Robin’s birth parents. They have been looking for their son for over seventeen years. One moment he was playing in the park, and the next it was if he’d dropped off the face of the earth.

Recently, they received a call from a raspy-voice man from Boroughsburg who introduced himself as Animal, and gave them the news they had prayed for for so long.

Juni and Cash are the creation of @dandylion240, from her Bring Me Back To Life legacy.

I’ve got the pics for the next chapter. They look so peaceful....wonder if that will last? Not sure if I should post it right away or wait....

Cinnamon gave her a spiteful glare "do you want to know what's going to happen to you once we get back to the lab?"

Shaking her head Juni murmured "no I don't." Her pulse quickened with a fear she'd never felt before. She didn't remember the time she spent in the lab when she was a baby. She did however remember the fear in her mother's eyes whenever it was mentioned. "Let me go" she pleaded "if we were ever friends let me go. I don't have what you're looking for."

"I don't believe that" Cinnamon shouted "the scientists don't believe that. Mostly my grandmother didn't believe that. She'll be one of the first ones resurrected once they figure out the code."

"You're crazy" Juni pushed her away from her in a desperate attempt to get away. She turned to yank open the door only to have Cinnamon grab her from behind.

"Not so quick" Cinnamon hissed breathing hard "I'm not done with you yet."

Juni kicked out desperate to get away. She squirmed beneath Cinnamon's weight, hands scratching at anything she could reach, ripping and tearing. She grabbed a handful of hair smashing Cinnamon's face into the dirty floor. Temporarily stunned Cinnamon went limp allowing Juni to stagger out the door.

She looked around but Leon was no where in sight. Good she thought as she weaved her way towards the car. She checked the ignition, no key. "Damn" she muttered as she checked on Hawk in the backseat.

She reached between the seats to grab the infant when a weight crashed down into the middle of her back. She cried out in pain waking the baby.

Cinnamon dragged her from the car by the hair. "Don't think you're getting away that easily." She slammed Juni's face into the top of the car. "I don't much care whether we get you to the lab dead or alive. It's all the same. The scientists will just revive you."

Cinnamon glared at her one time friend "if they can't do that then they'll dissect you. Either way your still a valuable commodity."

"Then kill me" Juniper cried blinking to rid the blood from her eyes.

"That would be too easy" Cinnamon hissed in her ear "I want you to know the truth."

"The truth about what?" Juni gasped trying hard to focus on the angry visage before her.

Sneak peek of the next chapter of BMBTL The one after this will be the gen finale. I’m not gonna lie the next couple of chapters are going to be brutal but it’ll make sense going into Gen 5.

His eyes drooped as he stopped fighting "sing our song with me sunshine."

"You start" she blinked tears "and I'll join."

"You are my sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away."

He slumped in her arms, breath rattling in his chest. "I love you" he gasped.

"I love you too" she gently kissed his cheek while she listened to his labored breathing. When it stopped she knew he was gone. She held him tight refusing to let him go. She hoped she had given him some measure of comfort in his final moments. If only there was something she could do to keep him from going through this again and again. Her arms and legs grew cold and numb. She had lost her vision while she was singing their song and knew that it was only a matter of time she breathed her last. She let her mind drift knowing there was nothing more she could do.

"They can try" she gave him a small defiant smile "I'm a useless specimen at the end of its life."

"Don't say that" with extreme effort he lifted his hand to caress her cheek "you can still escape."

"No" she shook her head firmly "I can't. Not without help." She knew this was the end for both of them. She had read her mother's journals along with her grandfathers and great grandfathers. She had all the physical signs that she was dying.

"Don't argue" he mumbled "you need to go now." His eyes were pleading with her to go.

"Shh" she stroked his cheek, heart breaking at the sight of him. "I'll go once you're resting. Close your eyes. Next time you wake you'll be in a better place."

Cinnamon spoke from behind her "remember how I said the scientists had been successful on reviving corpses?" She moved closer whispering in Juni's ear "you're witnessing their success. Pity the subject doesn't live long after revival."

"Stop this" Juniper screamed "that isn't living. That's torture. Hasn't he been through enough?" She could only imagine how many times over the past ten years they had revived him and opened him up to see why it didn't last.

Callously Cinnamon leaned against the wall "don't worry this will be the last time. They" she nodded towards the scientists in the next room "weren't even sure they'd be able to revive him this time. He didn't have much left in him from the last time."

Juni squeezed her eyes shut "all this time you knew he was here. All this time you kept telling me he didn't love me. That he left me." She lunged for Cinnamon trying to wrap her hands around the girl's throat. "All this time you were using him like a guinea pig."
