What's going on with your roommate? I just had roommate problems of my own....
Ok, this is going to be kind of a long story.
So I am going to school with one of my good friends, Vanessa. It happens that Vanessa's roommate and my roommate know each other from orientation. They hung out yesterday, and they decided they apparently want to room together now, so Vanessa and I will be roommates. Vanessa's room is a lot nicer than mine, and they want that room, so Vanessa would have to move in with me. I talked to Vanessa, and we agree that if this does happen, we get the good room and they can have the one I'm in now. Her building has an elevator, the room is bigger, and they have nicer bathrooms. If they want to disturb the peace, they can have the shitty room up 3 flights of stairs with a gross bathroom.
My roommate told in a very nice way, like she said it wasn't anything against me, it was just that her and Vanessa's roommate are really good friends, so I didn't mind that part. But we've been here almost 4 weeks, and I'm finally starting to feel comfortable about my space. Vanessa also said her roommate mentioned it briefly, like she wasn't completely sure yet, but my roommate sounded pretty sure that she wanted to do this.
I will be perfectly happy living with Vanessa, like we've known each other for 10 years and we always have something to talk about and we are taking all the same classes. But then I have to move all my stuff. Her dorm is just across the street, but I have so much stuff, like it will take forever to get all this stuff over there, I feel like, especially without the help of my family this time.
And I bought a fridge and microwave because my roommate brought the TV, but Vanessa has a fridge and microwave, and her roommate brought a TV. So we would have two fridges/microwaves, and they'd have two TVs.
So yeah. I think the four of us need to sit down together and talk about this because I just want to get it over with. It's giving me a headache. And I guess I like my roommate, I mean we don't really talk much, but we get along and we agree on things, if she is ever around. She doesn't come back until like 1 in the morning, if she does come back, which I don't mind. I kind of wanted her to not know anyone on campus either, so then we'd be friends by default, but she has a bunch of friends from high school going here, so she hangs out with them all the time.
What happened with your roommate? Did it turn out ok??
