Steph aged up too! They’ll certainly be redecorating their room with some pastel pop 👀 Though slightly difficult now as their mum Holly had a one-night stand with known-werewolf Wolfgang Wilder and well.. has an actual fur-baby. It’s a tight squeeze in this little, broken down flat now...
Also some snaps with Steph and their bestie Junko, they grew up side by side!
Junko aged up! Certainly still taking after her dad’s looks.
She was quite fond of being active as a child so decided to join the school’s football team, though her mum has stressed this is just an extra-curricular ontop on her studies, and she should be striving to get a first class ride to Foxbury University...
So after the very messy divorce last year, Miyoshi moved into his late-parents’ house which was now owned by his older brother Ida. They get on well enough that it’s a calm dynamic.
Junko managed to convince her mum to pay for her flight to see her Dad for Christmas, and they managed to get some cute pictures for the memories.
Christmas was pretty lonely for Junko as her mum decided to work that day, so she decided to meet her new school friend around the block from her - Steph(en) and their mum Holly welcomed her in for the day.
A few days after Junko’s birthday, it was the Festival of Youth! So Junko went out into town to see Yamachan and tried (and failed) to catch some Voidcritters.
But at home, the dynamics were still soiled. Kodama couldn’t live in the same household as someone who brought so much shame to her family. She told Miyoshi that their marriage was over, and she had booked a one way ticket to San Myshuno and was taking Junko (and the cat) with her.
Yoshi was too tired to argue with Kody anymore, so he said his goodbyes to his daughter, as it may be a long time till he got to see her again.
The morning after Kody and Junko arrived in San Myshuno, with barely much funds to furnish their new little apartment. Thankfully Kody would be earning a stable income from her writers career, so they would be able to settle in comfortably soon.
So, with so much drama and tension building, it was time for Junko’s birthday!
Victor and his wife Lily were there, as well as Miyoshi’s brother Ida.
Everything was going well, Junko blew out her candles and aged up to look like a spitting image of her father.
Only for dad to ruin the moment, and declare his ‘true’ love for Victor at the dinner table in front of EVERYONE. Victor recoiled, Lily and Kodama were fuming, and Yoshi was left confused and flustered.
After everyone had left, Kody and Yoshi had a massive row right in front of Junko.
Safe to say, this was not her favourite birthday.
The DRAMA in the Ken household continued.
Miyoshi couldn’t stop thinking about how Victor Feng felt about him, and soon realised he wasn’t being truly honest with himself either.
Meanwhile, Granma Inaba’s time was up, but she passed peacefully with her daughter Kodama and grandchild Junko by her side.
A few days later, both of Yoshi’s parents passed away too. He had called Victor over to his childhood home for comfort. But Kody was upset he didn’t think to bring his wife and child to mourn with him...
