my guess is that it's somehow related to the altaic language family (that doesn't actually exist) which japanese and the turkic languages are a part of but i don't know enough about turkish nationalism or the history of the altaic hypothesis to like. know if thats directly where it stems from

I honestly don’t understand as to why out of the female pov cats we have in the series, when people think of female characters being forced to settle down they never even mention Dovewing. Hell, many people even say Dovewing having kits felt “in-character” and I don’t think any you understand her as a character.
Dovewing as a character has always been about escapism, and about wanting to break free of others’ expectations on her. She is harassed by the toms in her life, and this isn’t even exclusive to Tigerheart and Bumblestripe. All of ThunderClan constantly puts pressure on her to act like “a normal cat would” and is criticized for “being weird.”
I don’t get why more people don’t read her as a lesbian like they do with Ivypool.

Being an adult it’s so important to surround yourself with people with emotional maturity that don’t rely on degradation (both self and others). It’s a trap I got stuck in and progress is never linear, but surrounding yourself with better people just changes the way you think about yourself and others. Just stay around people who see you as a human being, even though your flaws.
