Noelani Gisele Scamander (1980-) is a half-blood witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 90’s and was a member of Dumbledore’s Army.

Born to William Scamander and a siren named Oliana, Noelani was born in Hawaii where she lived for the first five years of her life with her parents and older twin brother, Rolf. After the tragic death of her mother at the hands of poachers, she moved to Scotland with the remaining members of her immediate family.

Noelani was extremely close to her cousin, Hadlee, as well as her grandparents: Newt and Evangeline Scamander. She had a passion for beasts and caring for them, one that continued into adulthood.

She started Hogwarts in 1991, the same year as Harry Potter, where she was sorted into Hufflepuff House. Right from the beginning, she befriended two of her brother’s roommates: Ernie Macmillan and Justin Finch-Fletchley. The three remained close all throughout their years at school, and would eventually become more than friends.

During Christmas of 1994, Ernie asked Noelani to attend the Yule Ball with him. She accepted, and the two shared their first kiss at the end of the night and started dating shortly after. Even though she was dating Ernie, she still had intense feelings for Justin of equal measure than the ones she had for Ernie. It turns out, both boys felt the same way about each other and her. They all started dating in their fifth year while working as members for Dumbledore’s Army.

During the second wizarding war, Noelani fought alongside her partners and the rest of her family against Voldemort. While she did attend Hogwarts for her seventh year, she frequently would leave the school in order to help out muggleborns on the run, including Justin. She fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and witnessed the death of Voldemort.

After the Battle, she married both Justin and Ernie, staying in touch with her family and friends and living happily as a magizoologist.
