. I understand that I have been sharing a lot of my work online over the past few years, and I am privileged to be in a position to be able to do so. I also understand it can be a lot to take in or expect others to view or listen to all or any of my music, mixes, broadcasts and visual art. But if there was ever a time I would encourage you to do any of that, it would be next Wednesday while I host my own radio show for the first time. Perhaps I haven't been clear, so let me just say this; a large part of the reason why I do things such as DJing, producing, and practicing visual art, is to bring people together by providing a safe space in which they may express themselves more freely. I am passionate about art and music because I care deeply about humanity and the way in which our planet is evolving. What is also true, is that a lot of the subjects which we find ourselves exploring in this moment of crisis are all things I have experienced all too well. Particularly, my struggles with mental health, depression, anxiety, insomnia, grief, addiction, finances and isolation. And do you want to know what got me through all of that? Art and music. Being inspired and accompanied by people courageous enough to exercise their freedom through art and music when they had nothing. This is more than just a hobby for me, this is what I do to survive. It is my purpose. It is the reason why I am alive. And I know from first-hand experience that if I can overcome these challenges, so can you. I was asked by Spotify to put together an official playlist of some music from my personal collection, so I took inspiration from the Voyager Golden Record — which were two records that were launched in 1977 into space aboard the Voyager spacecraft including sounds and images from Earth intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial form of life. Although I found this concept to be romantic, I did not find the content on the records inclusive enough to represent some of the more esoteric subcultures of humanity so I decided put my own spin on it.

Thirty years of searching through dusty hidden record shops and cryptic foreign websites has resulted in an eclectic mix of adult contemporary, art-pop, electronica, disco, hip-hop, jazz-fusion, R&B, soul and much more.

This was a very personal journey for me as I put a lot of thought into the curation and order these songs so all I ask is you refrain from shuffling the queue — at least during the first playthrough. I also recommend setting the crossfader to approximately five seconds for smooth transitions. Otherwise I hope you keep an open mind and heart so you can enjoy the music as much as I have.
