Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel Jusis x Reader
First things first, expect a very proper courtship.
Jusis has been raised a certain way and so he does things a certain way.
You’ll have no idea of his interest before he makes a move. The only signs are small things like acknowledging you with a “Hello” or even holding open a door for you.
Because of this it comes from nowhere when he approaches you in the dorms one evening.
“Y/N, would you care to join me for lunch at Kirshe’s cafe tomorrow?”
You were shocked but accepted and met him the next day. It was nice enough, you sat outside, the weather was good and the conversation wasn’t bad.
Once you were finished and the cheque came you reached for your purse before he stopped you. Jusis insisted on paying which after a small back and forth you allowed.
As you stood he spoke up. “Would you care to do this again next week Y/N? If you enjoyed this date of course.”
This made you freeze up. The idea of this being a date had never crossed your mind.
“S-sure” you squeaked out. You received a rare smile and the rest was history.
Once the two of you relax into your “courtship” things get softer.
He meets you after every class and walks you to wherever you’re headed. Training field? He’ll walk you there and politely wait for your club to finish before walking you back to the dorms. Library? He’ll study with you.
Free days more often than not become date days. Usually lunch at Kirshe’s but every now and then there’ll be something a little different.
One of your most memorable dates was horse riding followed by a picnic. Naturally it was perfect for him, being able to show off his riding skills before surprising you with a romantic gesture.
The two of you decided to head back when the sun began to set. As you arrived back at the dorm Jusis decided to escort you back to your room and bid you farewell with a kiss on the lips and a “I hope you don’t find me too forward.”
Affection wise he’s not the most open, but he’s clear enough with it. He tends to greet you and bid you farewell with a kiss on the cheek.
When you walk around he tends to link your arm or simply have you rest on his.
He becomes a little more affectionate in private. For example, when you’re in your dorms he’ll lie with you, or maybe sit holding you. Regardless, he’s careful never to overstep a boundary, not that he even comes close to one.
However, his lack of obvious affection is more than made up in protectiveness.
He’s always got an eye on you. He makes sure to give you your distance but always watches.
Someone is making you look uncomfortable? He slowly approaches and puts an arm around your shoulders.
God forbid he catches some kind of physical bullying. He covers the ground in no time and gives a stern look and a few cold words. It doesn’t sound like much but when you see it in action it’s very different.
Overall, you’ve got a dedicated, caring and gentlemanly boyfriend. He’ll look out for you.
