It's so funny how so many non-ace, non-aro fandom purists insist that shipping Alastor or portraying him in sexual situations is some moral failing "because he's canon ace and probably also aro."
Meanwhile the majority of the actually asexual members of the fandom (me included) look at him and go "yeah he fucks, but recreationally."
All the while the majority of the aromantic members of the fandom (that I know) ships him with at least one other character, but usually in a qpr rather than in a romantic relationship.
Like, it couldn't be more obvious that the fandom purists just want to prevent people from having fun. They're just incorrectly using the term "erasure" as an excuse to bully people over a fictional character.
As an asexual, Alastor is objectively one of the hotter characters in the show.
They really tried to murder the "alastor has a tail" and the "alastor wears a harness under his jacket" truthers in the same season huh?
I actually really really enjoy that Alastor is a raging hypocrite. There aren't enough intentionally written hypocrites in fiction in my opinion.
I actually do wonder if the reason Alastor's mustache got scrapped was because they were worried he'd look a little too much like Cab. [X]
Every time Al gets hurt in canon or in fanworks I don't go "Oh no, poor man!" I go "Who's atrocities will I laugh at if he dies?"
