My name is Amy--just Amy--and when I was little, I used to pretend it was short for Amelia because I didn't like having a "baby" name. Even now that I'm older, I still kind of resent my name. But then Matt Smith's version of the Doctor came along, and Amelia Pond became Amy as an adult. It's kind of nice to see "Amelia" become "Amy" for a change and not the other way around.
