Played in my first hockey game ever tonight! If you asked me 2 months ago if I’d ever play hockey the answer would have probably been no but getting into the PWHL in January started me on the path of actually playing hockey and I’m so happy that I’ve started playing.

If anyone is considering learning to skate and play, DO IT. It’s so worth it and you’re never too old to get into a new sport! And it’ll partially fill the void that PWHL offseason will create.

I have also learned that hockey gear gets really fucking sweaty

Just had the rating skate for the women’s hockey league in the city I moved to. It kicked my ass big time. But it was really cool to play with a lot of women and I’m really excited for the season.

I don’t think my watch understands what’s happening because I highly doubt I skated almost 9 miles

I do believe it saying it’ll take my 58 hours to recover

Also having my hanging hockey gear tree up does make my new apartment feel more like home.

I’m going to see Her Private Hell tomorrow. It’s gotten shit reviews but I’m giving it a chance bc Sophie Thatcher. I also don’t watch many movies so I’m not very picky or critical, I just watch for the ✨vibes✨ (and to spend time with friends before I move in a week)

Working an opening shift is a strange experience. I’ve been awake for 5 hours and am eating bagel bites but it’s only 9 am. i also go to play hockey in like 10 hours

I’m watching golf with my granddad (same granddad who I got into the pwhl) and it’s really funny when they cut to the crowd after a hole and you just see a pack of finance bros running down the path

I’ve been overcome with the desire to go for a run. It is 99 F out, I have temperature regulation issues and I hate running. This new city is doing weird things to my brain.

The cat has rediscovered a rope toy that has been in his toy box since he was 2 months old. He had no interest in it up until 3 nights ago. Now it is what he plays with when I try to sleep. He keeps getting it stuck under the closet doors and the just paws at the door non stop. There’s no sleep in the apartment, only a cat, his rope toy and an exhausted human
