Sorry for bothering, but i noticed you have dni if "proship" in quotations on your bio...idunno if you know the ACTUAL meaning of it, as opposed to what chronically online ppl define it as..but no, it does not mean "problematic" or anything, it came from old fandom tumblr..n it means "ship and let ship" which meant you were FOR shipping (which is what "pro-" means...if ppl got out a dictionary), not "against" it (which is what "anti" means).

An example would be pro cloti (cloud strife/tifa lockheart) && anti cloti

It also means anti harassment (over fictional content). I do want to point out that some "proshippers" are CSA survivors n whatnot && may use darker media to cope w/ their trauma...which is a coping mechanism that has been verified by therapists.

first of all, the reason i put it in quotation marks is because i think ""proship"" and ""anti"" are both such incredibly stupid, reductionist terms that remove all nuance from conversation. BUT since """proship""" is the word that people that romanticize and jack-off to work involving incest/pedophilia etc, be it fictional or otherwise, use to describe themselves, then they'll know i want them to fuck off :)

and to make my stance on this explicitly clear, i also think people that say "oh well i dont like this content but just leave people be :)" are just as bad, have a spine and stand up against that shit. of course, i don't go harassing people over it, but if you come up to me gushing over this gross shit, guess what, i'm going to tell you you're disgusting and to never speak to me again.

and since i know someone will take this as me saying that oh, so we can never explore these difficult topics in media then?? No, that's a whole other sentence. what i'm saying is that people that romanticize this shit are disgusting and should never be tolerated.
