I wish I could help the rest of the world understand how many people are in America and how spread out we are. That our government has molded a divided society in such an effective way that widespread grassroots action is extremely difficult. Fear of poverty and death are everyday emotions keeping from stepping out of line. Don’t get me wrong, there are many many many brave souls who face those threats with courage and are an inspiration, yet looking at a wider lens you find those fears overpower the common people.
The whole reason I say any of this is regarding the world events next year being held in the US. I feel in my bones that 2026 is going to be written about in history books as a turning point. I don’t know how exactly, but there are too many historical parallels, cosmic energies, and gathering societal energy to believe otherwise. I’m not naive enough to believe those history books will (or even should) outline the divide within America, similar to how everyone in Nazi Germany was the bad guy. America will be rightfully generalized as villains when kids are learning about us in the future.
What I hope is that PRESENT DAY people don’t generalize. I hope they understand most of the country doesn’t align with the government’s horrific acts or beliefs, that the small group is just very loud. Again, not to victimize us, but to provide potential allies means of support for positive change.
I know I’m uneducated on many aspects of politics and world relations, which probably came across in this naively constructed post. It’s just an inner voice is screaming in my chest every time I read the horrors in the news or notice the similarities between 2026 and 1936. We haven’t stopped fighting the fascist administration, there are countless little acts of defiance happening every day, the problem is widespread action is incredibly difficult in America compared to smaller European and Asian countries. Again, not to discredit the bravery and intelligence of other countries’ citizens in their revolutions, but rather remind those who question why we don’t just depose the government that land mass is a huge factor.
