A poem I've had for awhile

I've never laid eyes on you,

I've never considered wanting to,

But a thought in my mind lingers,

A feeling that tenses my fingers.

I don't want things to go down,

But knowing this makes me frown,

My lungs drown in unspoken words,

Yet before I met you, I was lighter than birds.

There are things that held me back,

But when I hear that sound I get a heart attack,

I feel as if I'm electrocuted by a screen,

Was it casual when you were in both dreams?

Could I have been right?

I'll always get a fright.

Were you aware?

Have I expressed it right there?
