With building blocks and the whole saga, not to diverge from the original post, I really like that in the first movie it was Steve, then the second one introduced Alex, and in the third one the new default skin gang showed up

Like building blocks the movie was already about the gradual evolution of a world and nostalgia but that it continued to build that evolution into the sequels was very nice

Not that I disliked the non-player characters tho! Building blocks did villagers so well, nether voyage really built up piglin culture, the one in the end obviously didn’t have a representative species and with the extended player cast it didn’t feel Needed per say but we love recontextualised endermen
