Thorton Street - Cordae
Dream In Color | Cordae
LISTEN BELOW
Music has been slower than slow since Friday, but hopefully this new Cordae release is a sign that that’s changing, at least for the rest of the week. Cordae just dropped off a new EP, Just Until… that came as a surprise to me. We’re almost two years removed from his positively-reviewed debut album The Lost Boy and he explains on the project that this is just something to hold his fans over until that sophomore project. With 4 relatively quick songs on the EP and features from Young Thug and Q-Tip, I think fans will be pleased, but they’ll also likely be ready for that full album ASAP after getting this tease. With the exception of the song from Thug, the tracks are more like this one and that clever, conscious Cordae that we got on his debut. I was excited to hear the Thug song, but it didn’t really feel like Cordae and it wasn’t giving me what I thought it would. Throwing these two features on an EP also lets me know that the album is likely going to have some more heavyweight names, so I’m interested to hear what he’s done once that time comes.
