Askbox Temporarily Closed
Hey, all!
I’ve got almost 200 messages to catch up on, so until I can clear that out, I’m going to close my askbox so I don’t get overloaded.
In the meantime, feel free to message me if you need to!
My mom is all sad and hurt because I didn’t even tell my dad “Happy Father’s Day” today, but you know what? If he wanted me to celebrate Father’s Day, he shouldn’t have been an abusive asshat. It’s that simple.
(unfortunately, I think I’m going to be forced to go out to eat with him at some point in the next week, but I’ll burn that bridge when I get to it.)
Instead, I spent today thinking of the male figures in my life who did mean something to me, who helped me grow, and who helped make me happy when I was dealing with the “family” I was unfortunately born into.
So, here’s to the actual father figures who had our backs, be they fictional, celebrity, or otherwise. They were here for us when we needed them.
And may all of the abusive dads go fall in a pit or break an arm or something.
Hi, everybody!
To make things easier for those who ask off-anon, I’ve decided to mention a new thing that should help all of us feel better about that:
If you want a private response to your post, put a (P) at the beginning or end of your message! Then, I know to not publish it, and there’s no confusion.
