#Repost @newyorkbullycrew with @repostsaveapp · · · *** sample photo***What you see here is a picture of a dog chained out in frigid temperatures. HERE IS HOW “WE” as a community of advocates CAN HELP. NYBC HAS NO SECRET, what we do is ASK the owners if they need HELP. We are ALWAYS polite, considerate and compassionate! More often than not, the dog is kept outside because the dog is an UNWANTED dog and the owner will accept help or surrender the dog. WE NEED YOU TO ALSO BE OUR BOOTS ON THE GROUND! Please, before asking us to intervene, do your due diligence. Ask someone to come with you and just knock on the door and in a RESPECTFUL way inquire if they need help. The northeast is experiencing brutal temps and we are a small team which can’t be everywhere at one time. IF you have made contact and attempted to intervene in a situation such as this, where the dog is visibly being left in the cold and you do not see the situation change, then call the proper authorities and reach out to us. We will ask if you attempted to just knock on the door and see if they are aware that the dog is in danger and if they need help with respects to the dog either being surrendered or brought in for whatever the reason may be. Many people have asked how people can be so cruel and in many cases YES it is cruelty and in many cases it is sheer ignorance or the fact that the owner is uneducated about the laws or fact that the dog is in danger. LET’S DO THIS TOGETHER so no dog is left behind to suffer! Be a responsible, courtesy advocate first. There are LAWS now that make it MANDATORY when it is under 32° to bring dogs inside! If you are in the tristate area and those methods have been exhausted then reach out to us! 👊🏼 #compassion #seesomethingDOsomething #justaskfirst https://www.instagram.com/p/BtV6SR-AmzI/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=idgmwj3jhta3
