           “braeden almost ignored the other as they walked up to him and started talking. he was minding his own business, clearly not interested in the conversation. but after a few moments, he turned to face them, shaking his head. “listen. i don’t want to talk to you, okay?” he huffed. “i know what you’ve said about me. fucking nerd. a disgusting virgin... does that ring a bell?”

unlike most people, eleanor was actually a fan of her job. there was something about placing her own art on someone’s body forever that gave her a sense of pride. she was bandaging someone’s latest piece when the bell for the front entrance chimed, a distinct contrast from the heavy rock music playing overhead. her gaze wandered to the two people for a moment. she recognized one as the person she was giving their first tattoo to, though, the other one was unfamiliar. still, she gave the pair a quick smile before standing from her seat as her client went to go pay. “ --hey there, ” the tattooed girl greeted them both. her eyes wandered to their friend before looking behind her to grab her notebook filled with sketches. “ is your friend here to get a tattoo too ?? ” a sarcastic question used to mostly put her client at ease.

          the brunette listened to the other as they spoke about something, put she wasn’t really paying attention at all. all she was thinking about was how she was going to ask them out. something she’s been wanting to do for quiet some time now. “right. yeah. um, listen...” she paused, clearing her throat nervously. “would you maybe like... possibly, uh, you know... want to go to the movies sometimes? or like hang out, you know.” she could feel herself blushing.

Her daze is due to the song playing, though it’s only a whisper in the room her mind was fine tuned to lock onto any rhythm or beat that was in ears reach. It doesn’t phase her when someone tries to get her attention or even when the speak. Only a small hum of noise comes from the woman, questioning their voice. “    you saying something? “
