I know there is a lot of drama about self publishing fic right now, but I wonder, have you ever considered taking the bits you write for Stiles Story Time and making them into a childrens story book about wolves? I mean, I don't know how much you've edited them or copyright laws on each piece but I always find the stories so engaging.

There is drama about self-publishing? I haven’t heard about it. I’m curious, what’s been going on?

But to your question… I’ve been thinking about it more and more. Especially when I did The White Wolf and basically re-wrote 60% of the story… the chapters I’ve been working on since then have included some even heavier rewrites, and in a few cases coming up, the stories will be entirely original…

And the more research I do about wolves, the more upsetting I find the various cultural dispositions against them… they are in great danger, and I am deeply disturbed to know how many breeds and species of wolves have been extincted around the world.

What I had Stiles say in that first chapter about how maybe children’s stories might help kids break that cycle of excessive fear and loathing… yeah I really think that. I was reading this book about the history of “little red riding hood" and the author talks a lot about how deep prototypical cultural perspectives go into our children’s tales. So…

Yeah… I’ve been considering that as a project down the line :3

I’m glad you find them so engaging! I’m putting together the next one right now (it’s the last thing to write for this chapter) and boy it is fun to write them! :D

Huh, okay, I need to read up on that somewhere. There must be something. I'm not even sure how to enable those. I just wanted to ask for prompty things eventually and wanted them to be normal posts (but responding) when I do them. Thanks!

I mean, I know I can get stubborn and impatient and snarky when I think someone's being stupid/sanctimonious/melodramatic. I do have to rein that in when I catch myself at it.

But yeah, living in poison... that is a really good description for that sort of bitterness that grudge-holding brings. Definitely something worth avoiding.

UM SO I hope you don't mind if I look at your art when I need inspiration? I JUST I mean because some people are really wary of others using their art at all for inspiration or anything so I just want to be clear if it's ok?

Oh absolutely! As Anne McCaffrey once told me, having someone be inspired by your work is the sincerest form of flattery. Honestly that makes me so happy to think that my work inspires you :D
