“I thought you’d never ask.”
Honestly, why he ever agreed to go to these things is beyond him. Truthfully, he only went because Apollo was going and because he had nothing better to do tonight.
...Although, from the sounds of it, maybe his friend only went because he had agreed to go with him. Just a thought, anyways.
“We can sneak out the back, and-”
“Heeeeeeey C.T., A-Pollo!”
Oh no.
Stumbling over towards the duo was an acquaintance of theirs, the smell of alcohol emanating on his clothing. Clay mustered the best smile he could, unconsciously moving closer towards Apollo in the process.
“You guys having fuuuuuun? It’s a killer party, I know.”
The Murderer
@justifxed
It’ll be fine. We can still win, Athena reassured herself. In her short career, she had seen cases turned around even in the bleakest of circumstances. Surely, this was just another one of those moments, right?
In the trial earlier this afternoon, Athena and Phoenix Wright teamed up to cross-examine Simon Blackquill for the murder of her mother. Despite their teamwork, they failed to find a contradiction, even using the Mood Matrix. Athena heard it herself - a raging vortex of emotions from Simon’s heart; but they could not pinpoint its cause.
The judge ruled that Simon’s murder conviction stood, and ended the trial. Athena was escorted back to the detention center, still under arrest on suspicion of Clay Terran’s murder. Her own trial would take place tomorrow. She had to get acquitted so she could prove Simon’s innocence.
When she got her chance to make a phone call, she dialed the number of a lawyer she knew could help.
“Apollo? Please... I need help.”

“Shhh! Shhhhhhh! Close your cute little pie hole!!“
Places a finger on the others’ lips.
“This is bad, you’re gonna get into jail for killing me with this overload of kawaii!”

“Hold onto your oxygen tank, because I’m taking you to a state that’s out of this world!“
Wink-wonk!
@justifxed
“Apollo?? you home??” Clay began to knock on the other man’s door with a little more urgency than he would usually be he was cold and soaked through to the skin, he inwardly prayed Apollo would be home. His area of town had suffered a powercut and there was no way Clay was going to spend a night (possibly longer) with no electricity. Of course he could have stayed in the staff quarters at the Space center but that was the other side of town.

He closed his eyes and promptly placed his hands together. A long exhale could be heard.
“Okay, so I believe you two have something to tell me?“
