“Huh, did I just hear someone call you daddy?“
“Don’t be silly. I think they’re referring to you...?“
“Definitely not! You’re bigger daddy material than I am, man!“

The light inside Apollo’s room flitted in between the curtains, pouring light spots into the floor, and into the bed that they were soundly slept in. As for the corners of this room, it was plain to see that the walls blurring into white nothingness suggested a world of dreams and stupor. No one could imagine anything outside of this familiar scenery.
Why was he here? Well, as if he could answer that....
He could.
Daichi calmly watched the stars spin outside a bright morning the window presented, waiting for them to wake up. As if the very strings of the world beyond were pulled for this one moment within the dream, he figured he was here to have a proper goodbye-- beyond that, to confront them for what they did.
Hearing the sheets shuffle from behind, the almost ghostly apparition of the astronaut turned around, a very gentle smile gracing his features as he looked down at his beloved best friend--
--were they still?
He had to make sure.
“Good morning, Apollo.“

“But, Miss Bartender!“ He feigned a gasp, as if offended. “No one could ever go wrong with the classic spacey aesthetic! Never mind their true physical properties and just roll with these cute stars.”
“If you want a more authentic experience, some fairy lights could mimic this ‘pretty circles and are bright as shit’ you speak about. Now wouldn’t that be realistic? It’ll certainly.... lighten up the place a bit.“

“Oh, I know. Of course I know that.” The astronaut gives a reassuring smile, wrapping the shorter man in a warm embrace he’d usually give in times like these, throwing a pat on the back to at least make the hug a little bit more welcoming.
He pulled away of course, but let his hands linger on their shoulders. “You’re going to do just fine tomorrow! I know you will. It’s a hard fight you’re facing, and…. you’ve been working so hard today, haven’t you?”
“Ah— I just. Apollo….” Clay’s features harden for a moments.“It’s just you and me here. Tell me how you’re feeling….. please don’t bottle them up; you don’t have to anyways right now."

Well, this has been going on for long, maybe-- too long, perhaps.

(Darn it all! When is he gonna give up!?)
The male passed another blink, continuing to look back at the lawyer. He’s going to dominate this battlefield, and you know it! Ten minutes-- gosh, has it been ten minutes already? He couldn’t check, not when he’s trained his eyes on his friend, no siree!
He rested his chin upon palm and slightly tilted his head, making a tiny frown. His eyes were not tired, but they proceeded to droop halfway, to account for his annoyance. (C’mon, dude... just blink already! Blink!) “Getting bored yet?” Nonchalantly, he said. “Don’t you think there’s still so much to do aside from staring at your ridiculously cute and cool astronaut bffsie? Nothing? Nothing at all?”

“Ah--?“
He closed his journal with widened eyes, hearing the splashing of water somewhere. Apollo definitely knew where to go, and where to find the source of the noise.
He burst into the bathroom with a start. “Clay! Are you okay!?“ Oh-- now here’s a man who knows the word called grief. This man also knows how to utilize his Chords of Steel! Ever since he helped his friend in his bathtub, Apollo had been waiting for the other to render consciousness, and the male cried out in relief when the-- er... ‘merman’ was definitely doing something.
