Wasting Away

Five days passed since the Blood Lord instated his command over the situation. Sej’Junta and Jya’lu, naturally, were assigned to conjuring water. Sej’Junta she did her task happily. But during those five days it took its toll.

Water was rationed out faster than the mages could conjure it, and it kept them conjuring frequently. Sej’Junta had a couple things against her, however. One, she was malnourished, and as her body suffered so too did her mind and her ability to use magic. Two, conjuration was new to her and, as such, would be more taxing to use until she got used to casting it, which likely wouldn’t happen under these stressful conditions. And so Sej’Junta worked hard with all this against her.

It showed, too. She looked exhausted all the time. She was irritable. She was skinnier than normal, with her ribs and hip bones starting to be more pronounced. The bags under her eyes made it look like her eyes were sunk in, almost looking skeletal. Despite this, she’d continue to conjure for her clan.

How long she could keep it up, not even she knew.

Today, I was thinking that I should start my own blog up again. In the past I had a blog on Tumblr that I would religiously update as I thoroughly enjoy writing. I do hope that people find this interesting and at some point there will be an audience.

I'm going to be writing about my journey through the PC MMORPG; World of Warcraft as I have fallen into the depths of this game.

I will start off as to how I came across this game. Initially I became aware of World of Warcraft when I was 16 years old in high school. My first boyfriend would play World of Warcraft. I thought it was a stupid game and I didn't understand it. I guess I just simply thought that it was for scrubs and I was too cool for it etc. Fast forward 4 years, My current boyfriend showed me the game and insisted that we play it together. He started by logging onto his character that he had from when he used to play a lot of WoW and ventured around to world which did intrigue me. I agreed that I would try and play the game with him.

My first character ever which is still my main to this day was named Bellazima a Blood Elf Mage. Yes, of course a blood elf. I was a classic girl and picked the "prettiest" looking race. I loved that I could customize my character. That's a huge thing for me in a game.

Anyways, we would play a lot but I didn't really understand the game. I had no idea what I was doing as a mage, I didn't follow any set rotation. I remember getting to max level for Cataclysm and LFR was too hectic for me LOL. I didn't know what to gem for, I don't think I even knew what my main stats were. It's pretty funny thinking back.

Basically I stayed this way for a long while. Once MoP came out, I took a long break from the game until I returned in December of 2013. Coming back to the game in MoP quite a bit had changed. The new talent trees, new content, etc.

We then joined a new guild and levelled up to 90. I remember when we hit max level we were trying to gear up through heroics and "Scenarios". We had no idea at all about Timeless Isle. Eventually one of our guildies realized that we didn't even know about it and told us how to get there. Once we figured that out we started gearing up so we could do lfr. This was the real start to my WoW journey. I met a really nice mage that taught me a lot about mages. He got me to install an add-on called TellMeWhen and gave me his strings to upload. He taught me about things like trinket procs etc. I actually didn't know about any of this so this was huge for me. I went from being terrible at playing a mage to being decent and with a lot of practice I'm definitely 100 times better today.

One of the most important things I've learned is it just takes practice and the willingness to learn your class. You also need to be very adaptive to change because Blizzard does change things and you need to go with it and work things out so you can play consistently well.

Today, I raid in a guild named VII on the NA server, Garrosh. My mage's name is now, Bellala. I have passed on my knowledge to many mages in hopes of improving their rotations and their "MageExperience" xD.

All in all, I'm starting this because I'm the type of person that is really passionate about whatever I'm doing. I don't see the point in doing anything, even if it is a video game, if I'm not going to try my best.
